I came here for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the vibe of the restaurant. Everything was very open and clean and it was more of a happy hour/chill experience. I was not sure going in what to expect I saw the statue and design and it called out to me: however the restaurant was much more laid back and eccentric than I initially presumed. The food was great, it had amazing portion the mongolian beef had an almost osso buco tenderness! The rice was savory slightly umami. The chocolate buddha was honestly the star of the show, so decadent and delicious!! Loved the Trevor Brown artwork in the restroom. ;) I will be back

TAO is all about the experience. The atmosphere and interiors are exceptional, easily the highlight of the visit. The place smells mostly of great asian food, except at the check in/ waiting bar area where it smelled of heavy smoke and cannabis. Food and service were below average, so expectations should be set accordingly. Our server insisted we had only 2 mins after being seated and handed the menu to place last order. We had a reservation of 1030pm and we were on time but we were seated at 1052pm. We agreed to make a decision almost within a minute without properly going through the menu. The server, then decided to not show up for next 15mins to take the order. I am not sure why we needed to create the rush if he was busy. Food tasted far below average, the server was unwilling to refill our water, we literally had to ask 3 times. The "luxury" cocktail old fashioned was below average, prepared with little to no efforts.

My family and I came here for my birthday celebration and it was the best experience. The atmosphere, food, and service were all amazing. Our server, Riley, lounge server Izzy, Marvin who helped with the table, and even the bouncer Patrick, were all super friendly. We loved everyone there and my disabled mom was even helped go downstairs through the elevator. Thanks for being awesome, Tao!

The atmosphere and the dj was great. The food however was so disappointing. The chicken gyoza were extremely salty. The vegetable fried rice was overtly cooked, dry, and crunchy in a way that it’s not supposed to be. The “crispy” orange chicken was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It wasn’t even crisp. Panda express makes better orange chicken. The chocolate Buddha was alright. We tried the Bali sunset mocktail which was good too. If you want to pay for a cool atmosphere/music/drinks then it’s cool but the food is not it, it’s disgusting especially for the price.

As a last minute escapade, we went to Tao. We walked in about 6:30pm on a Sat. night with no reservations. We were lucky to snag seats at the bar. We order Lobster Fried Rice, Charred Brussels Sprouts, Chicken Satay, Crispy Lobster Roll, and the Wagu Steak Roll. Every thing we ordered was Delicious! If it wasn't just the two of us we would have ordered even more food. Besides the great food, they have a nice cocktail list. My wife had the Lychee Martini and I had sparkling water. The bartenders are great. The atmosphere is a true hot spot. People were falling in all night. One thing for sure, whoever designed the location... They didn't hold back... The decor is absolutely off the charts.
